The purple shifts between a deeper plum and a softer lavender depending on the light, which I wasn't expecting from photos. My toddler falls asleep in it on every afternoon walk, and the fabric has stayed soft after several washes.
I've been using this daily for walks and the fabric has that broken-in softness right out of the box, no endless washing needed. The chambray weave has real depth to it, definitely richer in person than in the listing photos.
The purple shifts depending on the light, which I wasn't expecting but really like — in sunlight it's brighter, indoors more muted. The fabric is soft right out of the package with no breaking in needed.
