The higher waistband actually sits where my postpartum belly needed it, no digging or riding up when I bend over. My six-week-old fits snugly in the woven hemp-cotton without any sagging, and the whole thing folds down to about the size of my palm in the diaper bag.
Took a few tries to get the waistband sitting right on my post-partum belly, but once I did, my daughter settled in immediately. The hemp-cotton fabric breathes way better than the stretchy wrap I used with my first, and it folds down small enough to shove in the diaper bag.
