The first week home I was terrified of doing anything one-handed until I tried this carrier, and now I can actually eat lunch while she naps against my chest. My newborn basically lives in this thing during the day. The secure fit keeps her snug against my chest while I get things done around the house, and she naps way longer in it than in the bassinet.
The newborn insert keeps my three-week-old snug against my chest without any head slumping, which was my biggest worry. I've worn it for two-hour stretches around the house and my back hasn't complained once.
