Wore this through the airport and all over the zoo last weekend, and my back didn't ache once. The adjustable straps and padded waist belt make carrying my 25-pound toddler feel way lighter than it should. Super versatile too.
Took this on a two-hour trail hike with my 20-pound toddler and my shoulders weren't screaming by the end, which says a lot. The waist belt actually transfers the weight down to my hips instead of digging in. Only gripe is the chest strap slips a little when I adjust it one-handed.
